For most of us, a career choice is a large aspect of our daily life and creates an identity of who we are.  A career choice is based on a number of factors such as background, education, finances, opportunities, talent, and skills.  There may have been someone or some set of circumstances that led you to choose your specific career or life path. These aspects are important building blocks in your personal history.    

The purpose of this exercise is for you to describe the background leading up to your career choice and the experiences that you have had while pursuing your goals.  The information resulting from this exercise is intended to be passed on to friends and family members, so future generations might have a better sense of who you are based on how you approached your career. 

This exercise is 10 pages long and asks 26 questions to help you identify how your life may have been affected by your career choices.
