What you choose voluntarily to do outside of a work environment highlights behavior and traits that provide an insight into your persona. A special interest might be a traditional hobby like model airplane building.  A special interest might be participation in a sport like softball or golf.  Some special interests might be less easily categorized, like playing music on the rims of glasses filled with water.  Whatever your special interest might be, sharing the background of your activities with others will give them a greater insight into your personal history.      

 The purpose of this exercise is for you to identify and describe a hobby, sport, or special interest that you enjoy doing.  The information collected from this exercise is intended to be passed on to friends and family members, so future generations might have a better sense of who you are based on how you spent your leisure time.

This exercise is 10 pages long and asks 24 questions to help you identify how your life may have been impacted by your special interests.
